Servant Hearts

Even at 3 and 5 years of age you can have a servants heart! Thanks Grant and Grady for making these napkin rings for our lunch with inmates from Indian River Juvenile Facility, you touched their hearts!!

Where 2 or 3 are gathered...

I went to a unit alone and I was disappointed when the guard told the boys that participating in my service was "optional". Immediately most of the boys got up and went to a different area. There were only four boys left for me to talk to which is the smallest group I have spoken to in my ten years of coming to the JDC. I told the boys that Jesus said, "Whenever two or more gather in my name I am there with them", and that therefore our small numbers didn't matter. I then preached the gospel to those boys and was delighted at the end when two of the boys prayed to receive Jesus as Saviour! It's a privilege for us to be used by the Lord as one of his tools!  Sincerely,  Duncan

The young ladies we talked to reminded us today how important it is to be prepared to communicate why we believe the Bible as well as what it means to have Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. Great job Jen!!

Thursday Night Bible Study at Dan St.

What a blessing that our volunteer missionary Diane led 2 girls to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior during the Thursday study at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center!

Please pray for these 2 girls that their walk with the Lord will grow each day!

Heaven Rejoicing

Join us in rejoicing in the salvation of Diamond who prayed to receive Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord during the Tuesday Night Bible Discussion (February 8th.)  Volunteer/missionary Susie Ferek and Linda Nay were blessed to be used by God to lead Diamond in her decision.

Hearts for Christ

The Crazy Love Thursday morning bible study group from Christ Community Chapel in Hudson is serving local missions as part of this study. What a unique way to study and apply the word of God!

Below they are writing notes on Valentines Day cards, decorating envelopes to be used for prizes and helping to sort donated cards.

My job was not complete..

"I often think about the day (after one of Pastor Joe's sermons about serving outside the church) I  checked out places to serve and decided to take lunch to True North Ministries. It was truly a "God Day". When we spoke on the phone and learned about each other and True North Ministries.
After helping the young men of True North Ministries learn more about the donkeys, their care, grooming, leading, massaging, etc. I felt a deeper hunger to serve again. There are so many ways animals, such as equines, can help people become leaders like Christ. That day I saw so many expressions on the faces of those young men. Young men who may or may not have ever been around animals or have had the opportunity to brush, walk or feel the warmth from an animal. The softness of an innocent animal who may have built up enough trust to gently walk up and brush up against one of the young men or give a nudge with their nose. I saw so many curious smiles that day and felt like my job was not complete."

Brrrr The Bird Houses are up!

Our guys from Indian River Juvenile Detention Center have been building Blue Bird houses. The Circle of Influence became members of the Blue Bird Society.

We will happily take donations of 2x4x10 lumber for our next building project!
